QUILTING | CREATIVITY | COMMUNITY
Hi there. I’m Lorna and I make quilts in the beautiful city of Edinburgh.
My work is mainly hand pieced, colourful and focuses on the themes of the environment. the empowerment of women and mental health. I use scrap and found fabrics as much as possible.
I also take commissions for baby quilts and memory quilts.
I am passionate about teaching and getting people creating in a friendly, non-judgmental, relaxed space. Quilting and patchwork can sometimes come across as very precise and fussy but it can also be free, messy and expressive. My workshop motto is: REJECT PERFECTION
I love to create quilts with community groups. I think there is something very special and powerful about working on a project together on a theme.
I also run The Edinburgh Quilting Collective where we make group quilts for charity.
